Mikey Hood is a lifestyle and entertainment host on KDKA’s morning show ‘Pittsburgh Today Live’. She is also the founder of PGHSpot.com a web show that spotlights the leaders, small business owners, and creative innovators in Pittsburgh. In addition she produces “Neighborhood conversations” which are live community conversations that focus on neighborhood hero’s in Homewood and the Hill District. Michelyn has  received Pittsburgh magazine’s ‘40 under 40’ award, the New Pittsburgh Courier’s ‘Fab 40’ award and Whirl Magazine’s ‘50 finest’ award.

She was very proud to serve as the moderator in a past year Mayoral Debate!  She is also a member of the Pittsburgh Black Media Federation.
